Dearest Radhika

I hope that you are doing well. You must have finished the 11th standard exams by now. I am sure you would have excelled in the final exams! Now you must be preparing for the big year ahead! So please take enough rest during this summer break.

I would love to know what were your favorite subjects during the year. During my Junior College days, I used to love Physics and Maths but disliked Organic Chemistry. Ironically, I chose to join the Chemical Engineering program at UDCT not knowing that I would have to study Organic Chemistry for the next four years. I used to have nightmares of Benzene rings before the OC exams and always felt miserable, thinking that perhaps I had chosen the wrong career stream due to societal expectations. 

I felt like sharing this with you because our career choices shape our lives. Today, your generation has so many career options that I hope you will choose a career path that is aligned with your passion and liking. I have had the honor of mentoring many youth over the past decades and would love to be of any guidance to you. Please do let me know how I can support you.

Ps: I hope that you enjoyed the video that I posted in the previous post. It was a labor of love to produce and evoked many emotions of precious moments that we have spent together.
